Resilient Economy 05 – What’s next?

What’s Next? Let’s put the Theory into Practice!

Now we know what we want to achieve and all the beautiful principles, how do we implement a program to realize such a challenging shift?

Solution Proposal: Extraterritorial Cooperatives

Extraterritorial Cooperatives are member-owned organizations across countries and continents, using digital platforms, focussing on the everyday reality of the life of 99% of the world population: work, sell, buy, exchange, organize, learn, teach, educate, communicate, and find workforce and money for projects.

Let’s start with the FaQ, it’s a good shortcut. We anticipate the questions, so the readers don’t have to ask, it saves time.

We get these questions from readers first:

  1. “But how can we make sure to make an impact? Why would this work, when everything else failed?”

Easy! We have plenty of digital technology and low-cost solutions in our toolbox. And a lot of experience running massive governance programs all over the world. We offer free services to a wide range of populations, asking for nothing in return than buying one share of the cooperative. Take your economic destiny in your hands for free. That sounds better than “Give me your money to feed my Ponzi Scheme”.

  1. How can we make sure to do it in the right way?

It’s called Decentralized Autonomous Competency-based Agile Governance. It is perfectly auto-regulating, by design. Fully Member-owned, one person = one voice. No power concentration, no monopoly, no politics necessary. Cooperatives are out there for a while… Currently, the ICA (International Cooperative Alliance, UN-backed) counts 3 million cooperatives covering 12% of the world population. We don’t invent cooperatives, we make them extraterritorial and equip them with a global fixed-value currency.

  1. “Why would people join?”

The network of extraterritorial cooperatives is free and practical service-based. We don’t sell anything, we empower and enable people to sell, buy, rent, lend money, and any other things for free.

  1. “And how would people know about it? Isn’t marketing expensive?“

Cooperatives are organized in federations and alliances, all with existing communication networks. We need to talk to a few people in Brussels (ICA) that’s it.

  1. “Have you already done it?”

Look at our Qaori Program, visible on https://qaori.coop

  1. “Are there no legal problems?”

The beauty of the Thai Cooperative Act combined with the Social Enterprise Act is that any activity of our Qaori Cooperative is fully covered under Thai legislation. Even the banking and crypto exchange service, for members only, is totally legal.

  1. “How do you measure the success of your program?”

One KPI will be the number of members joining, the other important one will be the activity level.

  1. “How do you finance the program? Where does the money come from?”

Everything we have done so far is 100% bootstrapped by InterTaG the Thai company and Rosho, the founder. The smart use of low-cost technology has kept the investment to a minimum level. No external investor or business partner has given us a cent, no debts, no reimbursements. The platform cost is less than 1000 USD per month for the first million users. When ramping up the millions, more development is needed.

The Qaori Foundation is another instrument to assure the cost of launch of the cooperative.

We hope that some people can join and participate to kick off the endeavor.

The cooperative is supposed to auto-finance very quickly the global expansion.

Members have to pay one share of 27 USD in developed countries and less in other countries. Cooperatives and Federations will get extra pricing for all their members.

We intend to charge 1% of transaction fee for money leaving the platform, but any of these proposals are subject to cooperative governance.

There is also an advertising program open to all members, that will generate revenues to the platform to pay employees, legal fees, licenses, and technical fees.

A precise financial plan remains to be made.
